International RV Shipping

Shipping an RV internationally is a multifaceted endeavor driven (pun intended!) by a range of motivations. Shipping abroad caters to the wanderlust of adventurers who wish to traverse new horizons,  for whatever reason, in the comfort of their cherished RV. For you international superstars, we understand that you need to use *your* RV! That’s where we at ShipLux swerve in!

We have all the gear—and all the ideas—to transport your RV internationally.

The international RV shipping process involves several steps to ensure safe and efficient transport to a foreign destination. Here's a brief breakdown of how it typically works with us at ShipLux:

  1. Gather your personalized quote: Begin by filling out a 5-minute quote where we discover more about your RV, including its dimensions, weight, and destination.

  2. Choose The Shipping Method: Decide on the shipping method that suits your needs and budget. The two most common methods are Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) or container shipping for shipping RVs.

  3. Prepare Your RV: Before shipping, please ensure your RV is in good condition. Clean it thoroughly, remove personal belongings, and empty all those tanks including water, sewage, and propane. Secure or remove any loose items inside.

  4. Gather the necessary documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, which may include:

  • RV Title and Registration: Ensure your RV's title and registration are up to date and accurate.

  • Insurance: Verify that your RV insurance covers international transport.

  • Passport and Visa: Provide a copy of your passport and any required visas.

  • Import/Export Permits: Depending on the destination country, you may need specific permits.

  1. Book Your Shipment: Once you've chosen a shipping method and prepared your RV, book your shipment. You'll need to arrange the drop-off of your RV at the departure port.

  2. Transit: Your RV will be transported to the destination port. If you've chosen RORO, you'll drive your RV onto a specialized vessel, and if it's container shipping, it will be loaded into a container.

  3. Customs Clearance: At the destination port, your RV will go through customs clearance procedures. This may involve inspections and payment of any import duties or taxes.

  4. Delivery: Once your RV clears customs, it will be delivered to your specified destination.

  5. Final Inspection: Before accepting your sweet delivery, conduct a final inspection of your adventure buddy to ensure it’s arrived in the same condition as when it was shipped. Note any damages or issues and report them immediately.

  6. Adventure Time: With your RV successfully shipped and cleared for use in the new location, you can now enjoy your international adventures or use your RV for its intended purpose!

Keep in mind that specific requirements and procedures can vary depending on the destination country, so it's essential to work closely with our team and local authorities to ensure a smooth international RV shipping experience.
