Favorite Classic Cars We Have Shipped
Plymouth Road Runners—mid-size muscle cars named for the Warner Brothers cartoon character who took delight in thwarting Wile E. Coyote—last ran the streets new 50 years ago. But don’t be surprised if you see one today, effortlessly thundering past you on the freeway; the popular cars still remain in circulation and not only functional but head-turning.
We know this because we’ve shipped some. In fact, one of our favorites among the classic cars we’ve transported is a Y1, lemon-twist yellow, 1970 Road Runner. Meep-meep!
The sleek car redefined the meaning of vintage luxury, with a pistol-grip, four-speed, manual transmission, a black-vinyl interior, a Mopar radiator with shroud, a factory breather, and bucket seats with console. It also had Flowmaster dual exhaust with chrome tips.
And we delivered it, of course, in perfect condition.
Everybody has a favorite
Nothing shouts classy and luxurious like a classic car speeding down an American freeway, navigating the urban landscape of a city, or cruising the posh, tree-lined streets of the suburbs.
Over the decades, the motor-vehicle industry has evolved, leaving behind a trail of older car models as manufacturers tried to keep up with an ever-rising demand for innovation. But most car enthusiasts never get over their favorite classic-car models; the popularity of vintage-car shows is proof positive. It seems there is always an antique to add to your vintage-car collection—at least it seems so from the high number of classic-car shipments we’ve processed over the past few years.
That yellow Road Runner? That was just one of our favorites among the many vintage cars we’ve been entrusted to transport. Other cool models Shiplux has recently shipped include the following.
Vintage woodies
Imagine a vintage car with luxurious wooden, fiberglass, and composite materials built into it. That is what classic woodies are. They provide intensive and detailed customization of vintage vehicles such as the 1937-1940 Ford, using materials that replicate steal but give your vehicle an otherworldly look. That’s what Treehouse Woods has been up to lately.
Shiplux was lucky to have shipped such an antique, a 1937-1940-Ford Woodie, for one of our clients. Our unique shipping technology handles such orders products with care, love, and compassion.
1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Nothing screams vintage like a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1, and we were lucky that one recently passed through our shipping department. The vehicle featured all-original sheet metal with Wimbledon-white paint and Mach 1 décor, a shaker hood and chin spoiler, 15-Inch Magnum 500 wheels, and a top-loader, four-speed, manual transmission. Some features, huh? And those weren’t the half of it.
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 396
A 1970 Chevelle is a classic car that tells a story of the evolution of the motor industry in the 60s and 70s. This antique featured a whole house set of vinyl bucket seat upholstery, a four-speed manual transmission, a fully radiating dashboard, stainless steel rims, new thresholds, and inviting carpet work.
The amount of detailing on the Chevelle was overwhelming, including professional painting, chrome-made bumpers, and a spacious trunk. The terms “luxury” and “classic” perfectly coalesced in this beauty.
1955 Ford Thunderbird
1955 Thunderbird is one of Ford’s many classic cars. This convertible, two-seater gem came in a turquoise color with a sleek, classic design. The two-seater feature earned it the title “best sportslike-personal car of the 50s,” although Ford was forced to upgrade the model to a four-seater in its 1958 release to appeal to large families.
Today, owning a 1955 Ford Thunderbird is a show of class every classic car enthusiast dreams of.
1971 Chevy-Blazer
Are you into big-wheel classic cars? Well, the 1971 Chevy Blazer has you covered. The K5- generation vehicle allows you to maintain your high sense of class while exploring country off- roads and rough terrains. The car is powered by a 454-cubic-inch, big-block, V8 engine, and has four-wheel drive.
1955 Chevrolet Carrier Pickup Truck
Named the pioneer of modern pickup trucks, the 1955 Chevrolet Task Force Truck was and still is a force to reckon with on American country roads. Armed with a four-wheel drive system and a small-block, V8 engine, this golden beast is unstoppable.
